Helston schoolchildren taking on huge challenge to raise money for Little Princess Trust

By Joseph Macey 18th Feb 2021

The year 4 class of Nansloe Academy, Helston are taking on a huge challenge to raise money for the Little Princess Trust.

They are completing a virtual loop of Iceland to raise money for the trust after their classmate Olivia was diagnosed with leukaemia.

The trust will be providing Olivia with her wig - which is so very important for her.

The children wanted to do something for Olivia and came up with this idea.

As coronavirus struck, it might have meant donations would slow and it might stop everything, however, the children didn't let that get in their way.

The loop of Iceland is 419.43 miles and they are doing this on bikes, walking, running, or in any way they can.

So far they have raised nearly £2,000, with the latest update revealing they have completed 34.5% of the route, travelling 144.67 miles.

These heroes are smashing it!

The daughter of Laura Williams is also taking part, Laura got in touch with Nub News and said:

"They are doing amazingly well and have raised a huge amount of money so far. They have also all been pushing themselves so far and they are just blowing us away."
