A person was pulled from the water last night as emergency services swarmed the area near Poldhu Cove.

Yesterday evening (30th), RNLI, police cars, coastguard, and the air ambulance were all spotted by eyewitnesses landing at Church Cove.

Mullion Coastguard supported by Porthleven Coastguard Team, Cornwall Air Ambulance, The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station, and Devon & Cornwall Police, worked to recover a person from the water at Poldhu Cove.

The individual was then passed onto paramedics and taken into NHS care.

A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police is expected to follow later today.
