Emergency services were called out to Porthkerris after a car hung over the edge of a cliff.

Yesterday evening (20th) Porthoustock Coastguard, and St Keverne fire team were tasked to the cliff edge at around 7:10pm.

On arrival, a car had rolled backward after a handbrake fail with an adult and child female in the car.

The fire crews worked quickly to secure the car to prevent it rolling further by using a winch.

Occupants were then removed and the car was taken to a place of safety. The coastguard remained on scene throughout to assist where possible and be on standby for safety cover.

The team had returned to the station later that evening ready for next tasking.
