This summer, for the first time, CAST is extending its programme of creative adventures out onto the Lizard peninsula.On Wednesdays from 3rd to 24th August, the CAST team will be in different places around the Lizard for CAST-Away a chance for the whole community to come together in these special places with the offer of creative activities for the whole family.Our team will be joined by guest artists and musicians to inspire invention and making, movement and play. 

Polurrian: 3 August, 10am - 4pm

Gweek: 10 August, 12 - 6pm 

Poltesco: 17 August, 10am - 4pm

Porthoustock: 24 August, 12 - 6pm 

Our CAST-Off programme of free artist-led creative activities also returns this summer, with sessions taking place on Saturdays from 30 July to 20 August in the walled garden at National Trust Penrose. 

Sessions run from 10am to 12 noon and 2 to 4pm, with activities including pigment making, pinch pottery, wood construction, clay modelling, botanical exploration, wild weaving, cyanotype photography and nature-based printmaking. 

For more information about what is going on please check the CAST website or CASTCornwall facebook page. Our Lucy Grant has designed special activity maps for both CAST-Off and CAST-Away, and you'll be able to pick these up from CAST from Tuesday 26 July. 

We won't be put off by a bit of drizzle and hope you won't either, but check on the day in case of extreme weather or last-minute changes.
