In an interview with Helston Nub News Branch Manager at Bradleys Estate Agents, Martin Clements provides a market update from the first three months of the year leading into April.
The first quarter
Martin told Nub News:
"Fantastic month for exchanges, a fantastic month for sales and we have had good levels of instructions coming to market. I would say we have noticed a dip in the levels of instructions and I think that can be down to a few things, nervousness in the market, less property.
"The first quarter for us we out exchanged our sales and we outsold property coming to the market, but the main thing for us is that the clients we have dealt with have exchanged, they have sold and now it is finding the next levels of stock."
How has covid changed the housing market?
Martin continued:
"So we have seen quite a big change in what the buyers are looking for since covid, people realised they wanted more fresh air and they realised that working from home has become a bigger thing and they can do that from anywhere in the country."
Park An Daras - what is the latest?
"So we are just coming up to the current phase, we have three more to release before the end of April. Then there is going to be a mini-break and the site has to readjust itself because the maintenance and the work areas need to relocate which will open up further development. We have been told we are probably looking at 4, 4 bed detached properties being released first off.
"The rest of the site will then go from 2021 into 2022 with 2, 3, and 4 beds going forwards. We have a new style coming in Cober and hopefully by mid-2022 that should be the site finished."
