Cornwall Council is set to sign a new contract for its rubbish and recycling service despite concerns that it will not achieve its aim of increasing the amount of waste being recycled.
The council's Cabinet agreed this afternoon to the new contract which will start in October, although the new collection service will not start until summer 2021.
The Beehive Bar, Helston, is having its licence reviewed by Cornwall Council.
This comes after an application to grant a formal review of the licence was submitted last month.

A Royal Navy helicopter pilot has helped evacuate people trapped by the bush fires in Australia.
Lieutenant Commander Nick Grimmer, on exchange with the Royal Australian Navy, has been flying rescue missions for the last two months.

Last month broadband specialist, Glide, revealed data on the places in the UK with the most opportunities for regeneration for investment in empty residential and commercial properties.
Cornwall was number ten on the list, with 7,457 properties in total.

Restrictions on when dogs are allowed on beaches in Helston and surrounding areas could be relaxed under new proposals.
Cornwall Council currently has 48 Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) in place which limit when dogs can be exercised on beaches.
