Matt Cusack takes up the position with Massey continuing in the role of Director of Football. Cusack joins the club after leaving Plymouth Parkway.

In a statement the club said:

"Helston AFC are pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Cusack as our new first team manager. Steve Massey will continue in his role as the club's Director of Football.

"Many thanks to Steve for the past five seasons, and a big welcome and best of luck to Matt for the 22/23 season."

Helston finished in 9th place under Massey in the Western League this season.

The announcement received a lot of positive words for Massey and the new appointment, one person said:

"Massive, if Mass to step down the club could not have made a better appointment. Congratulations Matt, a great club to join."

A second said:

"What a fantastic appointment."

A third added:

"Quality acquisition."
