All weekend - ANIMATE Helston
ANIMATE Helston is an annual week-long celebration of animation during the February half-term. The charity has worked In partnership with the Museum of Cornish Life and Falmouth University.

Friday 17th February - Witchball Closing Party
The Witchball pub has announced it will be closing this week but not before their goodbye party!
To make it a special goodbye offering reduced prices all week as they run out of stock, all draft beers and ciders are now £3.00 a pint and £1.50 for a half.
The Witchball isn't stopping there, they will also be discounting all of their drinks from spirits to wines and even soft drinks if they are still left in stock.
This Friday(17th) the pub will be hoping to go out with a bang as they host their last Witchball quiz starting at 7:30 which will be followed by DJ Matthew Pascoe for the leaving party.
Saturday 18th February - Think and Make Picture Stories
Lucy Grant will lead a free workshop for families with children to make fold-out concertina books, draw picture journeys and map imaginary worlds.
Take your imagination for a walk and exercise your drawing skills to create wild characters, environments, and stories. There will be a range of lovely materials to work with: paint, ink, quills, charcoal, fine liners and sharpies for drawing and mark making, and coloured paper and stickers for collage, as well as plenty of inspiration on hand!
The workshop will run at Cornubian Arts & Science Trust, 3 Penrose Road, Helston, Cornwall TR13 8TP from 10 am - 4 pm. The workshop is Free with no booking required, Donations are welcome.
Saturday 18th February - Akoustek @ The Top House Inn
The Top House Inn is always holding musical events and this weekend is no different: Akoustek (Cornish for acoustic) is a trio with a variety of styles from the 50s and 60s Rock and Roll and many other ballads and songs.
The night will kick off at 21:00 pm, Call 01326 450098 for more information or to book.
