Flambards

Become a time traveller this February Half Term as Flambards, Helston opens its undercover attractions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout February.

Enjoy authentic history and heritage as you begin your adventure through Britain's beguiling past. Discover Britain in the Blitz, The War Gallery and Aviation Experience and an entire Victorian Village!

Step back in time to the 1800s and the reign of Queen Victoria into the unique Victorian Village.

With an atmosphere of bustling streets and alleyways, hidden nooks and crannies, the village is an incredible all-round sensory experience – think sights, smells and real cobblestone roads!


Godolphin – Family Fun Day

Running until 23rd February 10:00 – 16:00

Gather the family together for a fun day out this February Half Term. Wrap up warm and discover the sights and sounds of the great outdoors with the Godolphin family trail.


Personality Portraits | Think and Make Family Workshop

Saturday, 22nd February, 10:00 – 16:00

Artist Lucy Grant will lead this fun, drop-in family workshop, inviting you to look closely at friends and family and explore different ways of creating portraits.


Beach Art, Scavenger Hunt & Beach Clean

Friday, 21st February, 10:00 – 12:00

10am Coverack Beach, Love Your Beach Week. Help decorate our Mermaid, half with things we would like to see on the beach and half with things we don't want to see on the beach.


Half term special - clay pinch pot workshop

Rainy half term getting you down? Why not join us for some cosy indoor entertainment at Helston Crafty Cafe - this Thursday we will be running a clay pinch pot workshop in place of our usual after school craft club. Just £5 per person including the materials needed to make your very own pinch pot - make one of these adorable critter cactus/succulent pots - or come up with your very own creative design.

Once your unique creation is complete we will hold onto the for firing -and they will be ready for collection the following Thursday.

Suitable for all ages and skill level.

Thursday 20th Feb 2020 from 2pm onwards.

Children's Story reading and pottery painting craft activity.

Friday from 13:00-14:00

Every Friday we run a children's book reading and craft session at The Crafty Cafe in Helston. This week we will be reading the popular story 'What The Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson And painting some lovely bisque pieces. Please book your space beforehand to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited and these sessions fill up fast! Tickets cost £10 per child, payable on the day, including a small healthy snack to be offered during storytime. Once painted your bisque-ware will be fired and ready to collect the following Thursday. See you there for some family fun with a difference.
