Officers appealing to the public

Police are appealing to the public for their assistance to help identify an unknown woman currently in Derriford Hospital.

Police were called at around 4:30am today after reports of a woman in distress and in the water of the boating lake in Coronation Park, Helston.

She was on her own and without identification when she was located by a member of the public, she is currently in Derriford Hospital in a severe condition due to the effects of exposure.

The woman is described white, aged 60-70, she was wearing a green fleece / top coat, green woolly jumper / cardigan, striped top, green leggings and black shoes.

If anyone can help police identify this woman, or knows of anyone matching this description who may be missing and from the Helston area, please contact police on 101 quoting log number 65 for the 30 of January.
