The crew from St Keverne Community Fire Station battled for nearly two hours with a gorse fire last night.

A team was tasked to the fire on cliffs around 10pm - while the crews were in attendance an individual left them a gift of biscuits on the station doorstep with a note saying "keep safe."

A spokesperson for St Keverne Community Fire Station said:

"Whoever carried out this very thoughtful act of kindness a massive thank you from the crew. The crew finally got back to station shortly after midnight."
