There has been a crash near Helston this afternoon involving a motorcyclist.

The incident reportedly happened on the B3297 near Whealdream just after 3pm.

An eyewitness said that traffic is being turned back towards Helston with nobody allowed to pass.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Nub News: "Police were notified at around 3pm to reports of a collision involving a motorcyclist and a car on the B3297, Helston.

"The Air Ambulance has landed to assist with the injured motorcyclist who will be taken to hospital.

"The road has been partially closed."
