After 17 years the landlords of the Witchball Pub in the Lizard have announced that they will be closing their doors for good this Sunday the 19th of February at 11 pm.

Adam, Dee, and Nick shared the announcement on social media explaining that they made the decision with a heavy heart and apologised to locals for the short notice, they said:

"Sadly, many factors have impacted this industry making it impossible to maintain and staff our establishment.

"Over the years we have enjoyed working with our wonderful staff, community members, local customers, various vibrant visitors, and many holidaymakers that have visited our pub and, of course, our Beer Festivals, where we have raised over £20,000 for local charities.

"We will miss everyone in the community that visited for a day, a week, or for years. We apologise for the short notice, but times being as they are, we have to use our limited time left to close up.

To make it a special goodbye the pub will be having a closing party and is offering reduced prices all week as they run out of stock, all draft beers and ciders are now £3.00 a pint and £1.50 for a half.

The Witchball isn't stopping there, they will also be discounting all of their drinks from spirits to wines and even soft drinks if they are still left in stock.

This Friday(17th) the pub will be hoping to go out with a bang as they host their last Witchball quiz starting at 7:30 which will be followed by DJ Matthew Pascoe for the leaving party.

All though the pub is closing you can still find them on social media if you want to get in touch: The Witchball | Helston | Facebook
