A members club in Helston has spoken out after they witnessed a pair of teenage trespassers playing in their establishment.

Lu Layzell, secretary of The Godolphin Club, has spoken to Nub News about her concerns for the welfare of the club and potential risk of injury to trespassers.

Leaving work yesterday afternoon, Lu saw two teenagers down the side of the club playing with empty kegs.

When asked to leave, one of the teenagers reportedly had to collect his bag from the top of the stairs of the fire escape.

Lu told Nub News: "This is not the first time this has happened, last year I caught two teenagers climbing onto the roof as they had heard the view from the back of the building was nice.

"My main concern is that I don't think many realise that there is a high, flat roof at the back of the building which is obviously very dangerous and falling from such a height would cause serious injury."

The Club has said they are looking at adding CCTV to the back entrance but Lu doesn't think this will deter trespassing from happening.

"Awareness of the dangers from climbing around a large building is a must in this situation," Lu said.
