It has been announced that Tesco will be hiring 11,000 temporary staff members to help over the Christmas period.

Tesco's Extra Stores and Superstores will be hiring employees to help with stocking, deliveries, and general activities.

A spokesperson for Tesco said:

"With customers at the heart of everything we do, the festive season is especially important to us ensuring all our customers have the best Christmas shopping experience.

Tesco has said they will encourage temporary workers to apply for full-time roles once the Christmas period is over.
