One man injured

At around 2.15pm on Tuesday 27 August 2019, Devon and Cornwall Police received a call reporting a serious road traffic collision on the A394 between Retenna and Edgecumbe, near Helston.

The collision involved a car and a motorcycle and as a result of the collision a 33-year-old male motorcyclist, local to the Falmouth area, sustained potentially life changing injuries and is still receiving treatment at Derriford hospital.

A police spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for any witnesses with any information and/or dash camera footage to please come forward, unless they have already been in contact with officers at the scene.

"Specifically, the police would like to speak to the driver of a red tractor that was towing a blue trailer and was heading towards Retenna. The driver of this vehicle may be a key witness to the collision in question."

Local Police Officers and Specialist officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene, closed the road and launched a full examination of the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 477 of 27 August.
