Devon and Cornwall Police: Search for new police dog

By Joseph Macey

26th Feb 2021 | Local News

Devon and Cornwall Police have launched a search to find their next police dog.

They are looking for a dog that is about one or two years old to come train and join the policing family.

If you know of a Spaniel dog that loves to seek out their favourite toy and who would make a great police search dog, this could be the position for them.

"Police dogs are an important part of our investigation work. If selected, the dog would live with a police dog handler full time and work shifts detecting drugs, cash and firearms," a spokesperson from the police dog section said.

The course starts on Monday 8th March 2021 so get in touch as soon as possible.
