Roadworks get underway in Ruan Minor - expected to last rest of the week

By Joseph Macey 16th Nov 2020

Roadworks got underway in Ruan Minor today with a road closure in place that is expected to last the remainder of the week.

The closure is for work to a new electric supply from Friars Lane To Mount Hermon - residents can expect delays if they are driving through this area.

The traffic notice by Cornwall Council reads:

"The order will come into operation on 16th November 2020 and the works are expected to be completed by the 20th November. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1800 on a daily basis, weekdays only.

"Nothing in this order will apply to emergency services, cyclists, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

"Pedestrian and Vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained. An alternative route will be signed on-site."
