Cornwall Council is undertaking surface dressing in Helston - meaning there will be some daytime road closures introduced around the town this week.
Closures have already been put in place at Tremenheere and Manor Way, yesterday (21st) and today (22nd), from 7:30am - 5pm.
A large majority of the work is set to be done from Sunday 27th June to Monday 28th June, the surface seal will be laid and the road will reopen soon after.
Delays are likely if you do decide to take this route.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience while these works are taking place," Helston Town Council said.
Surface dressing is a preventative treatment. It is a commonly used way to extend the life of a road.
Surface dressing seals the road and prevents water from entering the structure of the road.
The work can only be done in the daytime as the process relies on the evaporation of water.
