RNLI reveal further updates on Mullion Harbour rescue

The latest update from the police here.


Coastguard and lifeboat teams were scrambled last night (2nd) as they worked together to rescue two people who were swept into the sea at Mullion Harbour.

Mullion Coastguard Rescue Team were assisted on the scene by Penlee Lifeboat, The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station, and Porthleven Coastguard Team.

Last night we reported that two people had got into difficulty at Mullion Harbour following strong winds and a large swell.

More updates have been revealed this morning.

Penlee Lifeboat team said the weather was "at the limit" for the lifeboat with force six winds and a heavy four to five-meter swell as they were tasked to search for the casualties.

They were air-lifted to Treliske Hospital.
