This week, residents have the chance to go back and see what life looked like in 1950's Helston, Porthleven and Mullion.

Put together by video editor and creator Allen Nunneley, you can view more of his videos here.

The old film, purchased from a Rosudgeon Car Boot Sale shows parts of Helston Flora Day, Porthleven, Mullion and Lands End.

Allen writes:

"Having renovated a Bolex S221 16MM projector, it made a good test film.

"The projector has sound but the film does not being an amateur film from the 1950's, but you can hear the projector hammering away.

"It is shown here with warts and all. Featured are the Helston Flora Dance, Porthleven, Mullion & Lands End. There are a couple of other places I did not recognise."

Residents commented recalling their memories of those times, one read:

"As a Porthlevener I really enjoyed this."
