Helston residents have voiced their delight as Christmas trees went up across town over the weekend.

There will be no big switch on this year but lights and decorations are still being put up by the Christmas lights team.

The work started on the 7th November as the first stage to put up the lights. This weekend around 70 Christmas trees were spread out around town complete with fairy lights.

Residents were understandably delighted, with one saying:

"Well done doing a great job thank you to all looking lovely already."

A second said:

"Saw you all hard at work this morning, well done to all involved."

A third added:

"Thanks for all your hard work. The town will look beautiful."
