Reports of numerous attempts to steal horses near Helston.

A warning has been issued to fellow horse owners following numerous theft attempts in Horsedowns.

A warning has been issued from a local horse owner Laura Rundle of Leedstown, an area between Hayle and Helston.

Laura revealed how she suspects numerous attempts to steal her horses in the past two weeks.

She said, first time they were spotted scouting on the tip of the hedge so the horses were moved.

Second time, they tried to take the horses when they got spooked and broke the fencing.

And they weren't finished.

Laura continued:

"This time they cut the electric wire then realised the horses wouldn't go through such a small space. They opened the gate in hope that they would walk up our open lane.

"Horses won't walk on the granite chippings and walked into another field of ours.

"Now more money has to be spent on security cameras and they have been moved again."

"People need to be vigilant," she added.
