Porthleven businesses struck by series of burglaries

The police are appealing for witnesses after burglaries in Porthleven.
The police are appealing for witnesses after burglaries in Porthleven.

The police are appealing for witnesses in connection with reports of burglaries to businesses in Porthleven.

The first incident took place on Fore Street between 5:30pm on Monday 23rd May and 8am on Tuesday 24th May - cash was stolen from a till.

Also, a business in the Harbour Head area was entered sometime between 7pm on Monday 23rd May and 10am on Tuesday 24th May, again cash was stolen from a till.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police added:

"Please can businesses review security and remove cash daily if possible.

"We ask for anyone with information or CCTV in the areas mentioned to please email [email protected] or phone 101."
