Police make arrest following assaults on Coinagehall Street, Helston

Police arrested a man from Helston today on numerous counts of assault.

Police were called to Coinagehall Street, today at 1:20pm after reports a man was being aggressive and physically assaulting members of the public.

He also assaulted a security guard before leaving the area on foot. Officers spoke to a number of people.

In an update, the police revealed a man was in custody following the incident, a spokesperson said:

"A 41-year-old man from Helston was arrested on suspicion of three counts of assault and a further count of assaulting two emergency workers, after assaulting two police officers. He is in police custody."
