Developers are hoping to build new homes on land in Wendron.
A pre-application enquiry submitted by Lodge & Thomas Chartered Surveyors on behalf of Mr C James (the applicant) outlines plans for up to nine new dwellings at Homedene, Carnkie. The development consists of two new-build detached dwellings on the site of the existing agricultural barns and up to seven dwellings within the enclosed field.
The use of the potential development site is currently agricultural, the existing barns are utilised for agricultural storage, the field is down to grass. The application site forms part of a larger agricultural holding that is owned by Mr James.
The potential development would involve the replacement of both buildings with detached new-build dwellinghouses. Both existing barns would be fully demolished.
The application reads: "We are of the view that a sympathetic and appropriate potential residential development, consisting of two new-build detached dwellings on the site of the existing agricultural barns, and up to seven dwellings within the enclosed field, would not adversely harm the character of the area, nor would it have an adverse impact on the neighbouring residential properties.
"Our Client has instructed us to initiate this process in the hope that we can meet with a Planning Officer on site to view the potential development site, discuss the proposal and obtain written pre-application advice accordingly."
