Fire crews were scrambled in the early hours of this morning following an early morning collision at Ponsongath near Coverack.

On the scene, firefighters found an individual 'pinned' in the vehicle. Firefighters used crash rescue equipment to cut free one casualty from the vehicle involved.

Eight firefighters on two appliances from St Keverne and Mullion attended the call.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service added:

"Two further casualties were monitored by fire crews until the arrival of Ambulance staff.

"The road traffic collision had also involved a telegraph pole, electrical engineers were requested to attend the scene to assess the damage to the pole."
