People trapped in vehicle following accident in Kuggar

The fire service attended an accident in Kuggar today.

People had to be extracted out of a car today in Kuggar after a vehicle ended up on its roof.

Fire teams from St Keverne, Mullion and Tolvaddon were called out to a single vehicle accident just after 12:30pm, Tuesday 2nd.

Crews arrived to find two casualties trapped in the car. They stabilised the vehicle, gained access into the vehicle, and safely extracted the casualties.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue added: "Appliances from St Keverne, Mullion and Tolvaddon were mobilised to a single vehicle accident where a car was on its roof.

"Firefighters confirmed two casualties were trapped in the car on their arrival. A stabfast, step blocks and wedges were used to stabilise the vehicle allowing crews to gain safe access to the car to extricate the casualties. Once released from the vehicle the casualties were given first aid."

No more details were given following the incident.
