Nub News food review: Ced's Bagels Porthleven
Next door to The Shipyard Market in Porthleven is a new addition to the town, Ced's Bagels.
We paid a visit to the bakery to try one out - and if you haven't been already, what are you waiting for? They are so good!
I ordered a french brie, pesto, mayo, and rocket on a sesame seed bagel.
I also picked up a cheese bite, all this coming to around £6, a perfect lunch spot.
Ced's Bagels has been open for a little while now, they have expanded their offerings with regular specials, extended opening hours (11am-3pm), and more sweet/savoury options.
The bagel is everything you'd want it to be, sturdy (holds it all together), soft to eat into, with an option of sesame or poppy seed, or everything seasoning.
They are made fresh every morning and hand-rolled before being poached and baked, you can even buy the bagels by themselves to take home.
The filling, oh the filling, the brie and pesto complement each other nicely, the rocket gives it that peppery taste, all making a really tasty lunch.
The cheese bite is like a soft cloud, I didn't ask to warm it up (might have to next time), but it was a very good addition.
Verdict - highly recommend! If you are at the market, grab a seat outside and enjoy!
