Mullion Fish & Chip Shop The Galleon, Churchtown, announced a closure with immediate effect over the weekend following a positive covid test.

On the 17th July, the chip shop said it would be temporarily closed after a staff member reported back a positive test.

There was no reopening date for the shop, stating that no other member of staff has any symptoms and they are all regularly carrying out lateral flow tests.

A spokesperson for the business added:

"I am confident the measures we have in place have protected our customers and I can assure you that all the rest of the staff have been wearing masks and constantly sanitising.

"I am sorry for the inconvenience this closure will cause and we hope to be back in business soon."
