Molly Hocking to perform at Helston Music Day

There will be a host of brilliant acts at the upcoming Helston Music Day.

Part of the Welcome Back Fund, there will be a main stage, where Winner of 'The Voice' 2019 Molly Hocking will be performing on Saturday March 19th.

A change of plans, acts will play on the main stage from 11am-7pm in the Chapel at the Methodist Church after forecast for high winds up to 50mph. It was originally supposed to take place at Drill Hall Yard.

Award-winning male voice choir Four Lanes Male Voice Choir kick off the day at 11am, followed by music from the 50s by Akoustek, Folkapace, Molly Hocking, Kate Plumtree, and Masquerade.

There is also a busking programme, acts playing in various locations across town. Methodist Church porch, Guildhall, Angel Hotel porch, Horse & Jockey Lane (or Corn Exchange, Guildhall if wet).

The busking starts at 11:30am with Helston Youth Band/Tros An Hellys, Female saxophone quartet Saxy Maids at 12:30pm, shortly followed by Lowenna and Maddie and Helston School Band.

Excitement is building for the event, Bowdens Home Hardware added:

"Helston will be buzzing this Saturday with the Welcome Back Music Day from 11am, with acts both in the Drill Hall Yard between us and the Museum of Cornish Life, and other acts busking around the town."
