A concerned Helston resident has got in touch with Nub News about the crossing at Coronation Park.

Resident Gill Grundy, says that she has seen many near misses as a result of speeding cars and thinks a zebra crossing would be a sensible option.

The letter reads:

"I have been concerned for some time about the crossing from the large free car park to the boating lake at Coronation Park.

"This is well used by families and park runners amongst others.

Cars leaving Helston tend to speed up and I have seen several near misses here as a result.

"The Council are reviewing this with sympathy. I feel it would help if more locals gave the idea of their support. More signage would be helpful to alert motorists and ideally a zebra crossing."

Gill is also asking people to contact the council if they agree with this idea via [email protected].
