There is now less than one month to go before Children's Hospice South West's (CHSW) spectacular Santas on the Run Goes Freestyle event will take over the Eden Project on 5th December.

With Halloween and Guy Fawkes out of the way focus turns to Christmas and what better way to get into the festive spirit than by taking part in Santas on the Run Goes Freestyle.

The 2km sponsored fun run takes place at Eden on 5 December and is suitable for all ages. Families, friends and colleagues can run or walk the route around Eden and new for this year they can dress in their favourite festive outfit.

Kiley Pearce, Events Fundraiser from CHSW said:

"We are really looking forward to the return of our festive fun run to Eden. This year we are doing our best to reduce our impact on the environment and won't be supplying single use Santa suits. The registration fee has been reduced to reflect this and participants can go completely freestyle with what they dress as. Whether you want to sleigh it like Santa, rock it like Rudolph, sock it like a snowman or twinkle like a Christmas tree, we can't wait to see everyone's festive outfits – there will be prizes for the best!"

There are two time slots to choose from; 10.30am or 3pm and participants can enjoy the rest of their day at Eden for free. For those unable to make it to Eden or who wish to do their own route there is also the option to take part virtually.

More than 650 people took part in the last festive 2k fun run around the iconic biomes in 2019, raising nearly £26,000 in support of the charity's Little Harbour children's hospice in St Austell.

Santas on the Run Goes Freestyle is kindly sponsored by The Exeter.
