Kay Harvey's local gig guide: Loads of live music at Porthleven Food Festival

Hey everyone, hope you all enjoyed a good Easter. A big week in Porthleven followed by a massive weekend with the Porthleven Food festival.
I have all the music line up here in my column. Tuesday 19th, open mic at the Atlantic Inn Porthleven fronted by multi-talented Liam Jordan.
Wednesday 20th at the Harbour Inn Porthleven is the fabulous Akoustek, 8:30 start. Thursday 21st at the Harbour Inn Porthleven the beautiful True Foxes, starting 8:30pm.
Festival weekend starts Friday 22nd. Will Keating and John Dowling will be playing at the Harbour Inn Porthleven between 5-7pm. The ultimate party band Guilty Pleasures kick off the weekend superstylin at 7:30pm in the marquee at Harbour Head, one not to miss.
The ultimate party duo the amazing Roosters have a gig at the Atlantic Inn Porthleven at 9pm. Following Guilty Pleasures in the marquee at 9:30pm is Company B, jump jive, 1940s swing.
Friday night at Out of the Blue is Skatalites. The Rodney Inn Helston Friday night has the fantastic Snake Oil.
Saturday 22nd the Food Festival continues. The Oggymen will be singing between 1-2pm in the Ann's Pasty Lounge Loveridge has a gig in the Harbour Inn Porthleven at 1pm. The Oggymen will be singing at the Harbour Inn Porthleven at 3pm.
There is a couple of 'busker' pitches around the village, please check them out on the food festival page, there is a map showing where everything is.
Super exciting at 7:30pm in the Food Festival marquee, the legend that is John Smokeydoodar Smith is playing with his band Smokey's King Shuffler's, the ultimate in Chicago Blue's, unmissable.
Saturday night in Out of the Blue an ELO tribute Mr and Mrs Blue Sky. Akoustek also have a gig at the Atlantic Inn Porthleven on Saturday 9pm.
Following the Smokey's King Shuffler's in the festival marquee is Sandy Acre 7, playing a huge assortment, ska, reggae, 1950s, R&B, modern anthems and contemporary classics. The Diner's Club DJs Saturday night at 8pm, Jelly Jazz, DJ Pete Isaac. Saturday night in the Rodney Inn Helston is the totally awesome Olives.
On the closing day of the Porthleven Food Festival, at the Atlantic Inn between 4-6pm is the wonderful Sammy Jonas. 7:30 in the Festival marquee The Disappointment's playing country-folk rock & roll fusion mix.
And to close the festival in the best possible way by the absolute legend Spencer Hawes and his awesome band Go Go Skank who play rockabilly and ska style 80s tunes, sensational. There you have it, what an amazing week of live music. So much happening around Porthleven over the weekend, have a fabulous time, but keep safe. Have a great week and festival weekend.
