Three men injured

Police were called just after midnight on Sunday 5 April following reports of an incident in Parc Trammel Cove, near Porthleven.

Police, assisted by ambulance and the Coastguard, attended the scene where three men were located on the beach with potentially life-threating injuries.

The three men, believed to be aged 18, 19 and 19 and from the local area, were all airlifted to Derriford hospital. They have all sustained multiple serious injuries, described as potentially life-threatening or changing and their next of kin have been informed.

Police are continuing to make enquires and appeal for witnesses.

Inspector Matt Setchell, based in St Austell, said: "Initial enquires suggest that the men have fallen around 70ft from the cliffs into the cove below. We are continuing to carry out enquires to establish how they came to be on the cliff and the circumstances surrounding incident.

"All three males were airlifted to hospital where they remain in a serious condition. Our thoughts are with the three men, and their families and friends at this difficult time.

"At this point, we're appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident and anyone with any relevant information to contact police."

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 17 of Sunday 5 May.
