IN PICTURES: Rain and strong waves hit Porthleven

Storm Christoph appears to have reached Cornwall after pictures were shared of rough seas in Porthleven.

A yellow weather warning was issued this week with heavy rain and strong winds expected to cause travel disruption and flooding in some places.

A video was shared by Pam Kitchen with the caption "blowing up a storm."

Residents have been asked to brace themselves for a period of heavy weather.

What to expect?

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.

•Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
