IN PICTURES: Local teams battle multiple fires yesterday evening

Yesterday evening, teams from across the local area were tasked to deal with multiple gorse fires.

Crews from Mullion, Helston and St. Keverne were committed to the Lizard Peninsula, attending incidents at Goonhilly Downs and Gwenter.

They were also tasked with protecting two properties that could have been threatened by the advancing gorse fire.

At around 9:15pm the teams left the scene, one appliance from St Just remained to monitor the location throughout the night for any reignition.
