Platinum Jubilee celebrations took place on a Helston estate - over the extended four-day bank holiday weekend.

The Jubilee marked 70 years since the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne.

Residents of Bosnoweth had tables and chairs set out on the green for afternoon tea, Sunday 5th June.

Residents were invited to paint a Jubilee pebble on Bosnoweth, Helston.

Alison Quick, a resident of Bosnoweth, told Nub News:

"The council own a couple of our greens and has recently placed a bench on this particular green for us to use. They were so pleased to see the areas being used by the estate's community in the way it was intended. We try and utilise the area as often as we can for social gatherings.

"The jam and cream for our homemade scones were very kindly donated by Rodda's Creamery in Scorrier. That really made the event a success as Cream Teas are a tradition.

"All ages came and made it a lovely afternoon and were encouraged to paint a Jubilee themed pebble to be placed on the well-tended hedge of the green."
