Despite the cancellation of this year's Flora Day, those in the town still came out to celebrate.

The organisers of Flora Day announced the cancellation in late February citing the "safety of the public" as the main reason behind the decision, as covid worries still loom over Flora Day and many other similar events in Cornwall.

In photos shared by Richard Cooper from Cornwall In Focus, he said:

"Well Flora Day might be cancelled this year but it still doesn't stop people coming together and doing a mini version. Well done to Helston town band and the few places that still decorated."
