A Porthleven resident today discovered a huge fly-tipped pile of rubbish at the end of his road.

Duncan Harrod, who usually has to pick up rubbish and beer cans that are littered near his home, was shocked this morning to find the biggest dump yet.

Found by the sewage works at Methleigh Bottoms, the huge rubbish pile even included an NHS mattress.

Residents have been responding to the rubbish on social media.

"This makes me so mad when we have a very good recycling service," one resident said.

"Absolutely atrocious," said another.
