Helston Harvest Fair is inviting residents to get involved this year by hosting a showcase online, it was announced yesterday.

The fair was cancelled in May, taking the decision to cancel to protect the health and safety of those participating.

A spokesperson for the fair said:

"Although it is not possible to hold this year's horticultural and craft show, I'm sure many people will have produced some wonderful craft items, baked some lovely treats, taken some beautiful photos and grown some amazing flowers, fruits and vegetables during lockdown.

"Please take a photo of your item (with or without you in it), and send it to us in a private Facebook message.

"We will collate all the photos and produce a video showcasing them all. The video will be posted on the Helston Harvest Fair Facebook page on 6th September which would have been our show day.

"There is no schedule for this, you can take a photo of any homemade item and enter as many as you like. There will be no judging and no prizes. It is just a simple way to show us your amazing handy work and for us to all appreciate the very talented people in Helston."
