How to watch historic Cornwall space launch

Spaceport Cornwall will make history tonight with Virgin Orbit's LauncherOne rocket set to be the first orbital launch from UK soil.

A repurposed 747 plane named Cosmic girl will take off from the Spaceport Cornwall site at Newquay Airport between 21:45 and 22:45.

The Launcherone rocket which contains the satellites will be attached to the plane, and will then be expected to be released between 22:54 and 23:54.

Some lucky people will get to see the launch from the viewing area at Newquay Airport after securing tickets but for those of us that didn't manage to get one, a live stream will be made available.

Spaceport Cornwall is hopeful people will follow the live stream, they said: "We are making history, and we want to make sure you can witness it happen."

The Start Me Up mission will be broadcast live on Youtube from around 21:00 for you to watch from the comfort of your own home, you will be able to find the live stream here: Virgin Orbit - YouTube.
