Sweet Pea Floral Studio on Meneage Street Helston will be moving to a new location at the start of next year with the last day of trading at the current location being Christmas Eve.

Don't worry the business won't be moving too far, only around 4 minutes away from the current shop to Goonhusband Farm, and will be open on the 9th of January giving some time to get the shop ready after a busy Christmas period.

Lin Turner has owned the shop since 2017 but has worked for the business since 2010, Lin explained that the decision to move is for positive reasons with some exciting plans in place, she said: "I want to offer lots of different courses and workshops where people can come learn, enjoy a spread of food and drink like tea and cakes while I teach them how to make something that they will enjoy and can take home."

"With a big studio all of these things will be possible as I just don't have the space at the minute, since I've announced the idea of workshops, I've had 15 people ask me when they start."

Lin explained how the extra space will provide much-needed parking for the customers and the growing business: "We've had 50 weddings this year so it's been really busy and we've had to hire extra vans to transport flowers, it also means customers won't get caught in the rain, they won't even have to leave their car."

With all the exciting changes existing customers should not be alarmed by the changes as the business will still operate as normal with online and phone deliveries as well as click and collect and may even be able to provide online teaching.

After the news was shared on social media many locals expressed their good luck wishes but added that the high street will miss the popular shop, Tracy Downing commented: "What a shame you're moving from the town, your shop really brightens the town up."

It's still unknown what will happen to the current property once the Sweet Pea Floral studio moves on.
