Helston Weather Watch: Heavy rain forecast this week

Cloudy with heavy rain spreading in from the west.

Monday

Starting cloudy with occasional drizzle, especially over Devon and Cornwall. More persistent and locally heavy spells of rain will spread from the west during the morning and will linger through the afternoon, with low cloud bringing fog over higher ground. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outbreaks of rain will ease and clear slowly eastwards overnight leaving dry conditions for most. However the rain may return to affect southernmost coastal areas late in the night. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Tuesday

Starting cloudy on Tuesday, and outbreaks of rain already affecting the south coast will spread northwards through the day. Some heavy rain is likely over the moors in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday

Cloudy with spells of drizzly rain on Wednesday and staying cloudy on Thursday with further spells of rain possible. Friday likely remaining cloudy with some showery rain.
