Helston Traffic Watch: Road partially blocked and queues following vehicle fire near the Lizard

UPDATE: Road cleared, earlier vehicle fire on A3083 near the Lizard.

Still be wary of traffic delays.


Drivers are being urged to avoid the A3083 following reports of a vehicle fire this afternoon.

The vehicle is thought to be "well alight".

Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"Reports of A3083 partially blocked, slow traffic due to a vehicle fire near Flambards Theme Park."

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service added:

"A3083 Lizard near Mile End, vehicle on fire, well alight, significant traffic build-up.

"Avoid the area. Crews Mullion and Helston Fire Stations, as well as Devon and Cornwall Police, are in attendance."
