Helston Town Band to play at late night shopping event and the full list of shops staying open

In the latest update from Helston's upcoming late night shopping event, it has been announced that the town band will be playing on the evening.

The band will be around the town from 6pm as a host of shops join in to stay open late.

Carol singers from St Michaels Church will also be performing on the night, they will be outside the Methodist chapel from 5pm till 7pm.

You can get your Christmas gifts locally on Friday 18th December with most of the town staying open till around 7pm.

Revealing the news on social media, Melinda King of The Fishermen's Mission added:

"Go in the shops, say hello, have a glass of mulled wine, mince pie.

See what we've got in our lovely town, we've got our lights up now (thanks Rob Williams), so Helston, let's have a bit of Christmas in the streets. Come and say Merry Christmas to your local shops."
