Helston taxi company appeal to identify fare dodger

Meneage Taxis, Helston, has issued an appeal to identify a fare-dodging individual.

Picking up a passenger from Helston Lidl yesterday evening (12th February) he told the driver he wanted to go to Penzance and subsequently changed his mind to go to Pendeen.

The taxi driver stopped outside a cashpoint at Sainsbury's Penzance so he could withdraw money and he walked off in the direction of the store entrance and didn't return.

If a passenger refuses to pay the fare or runs off without paying, this is considered to be a criminal offence.

A spokesperson for Meneage Taxis added:

"I've now logged this with the police but please message if anyone recognises him."
