Helston sees increase in covid cases

There were just over 170 infections of covid-19 reported in Helston in the first week of January.

According to the latest figures for 7–day period ending on 5th January 2022 - Helston saw a rise of 37.9% in cases.

This data is all from a government interactive map showing the extent of covid in every area of the country. It is updated with new figures every day.

The map shows:

  • The number of cases in the past seven days
  • The rate of infection per 100,000 people in the population
  • How the area compares to the rest of England

Data for Helston and the surrounding area ending on 5th January 2022

Porthleven, Breage & Praa Sands: 80 cases ( increase of 166.7%)

Crowan, Wendron & Stithians: 65 cases (increase of 1.6%)

The Lizard: 118 cases (increase of 110.7%)
