Helston Roadworks: Two week road closure from next Monday

Local News by Joseph Macey 23rd Nov 2020

From next Monday (30th) a road closure will be in place on The Furry, Helston as work gets underway to resurface the carriageway.

The full length of road will be affected until 11th December with a diversion route in use throughout the work - with delays expected.

A notice was issued reading:

"Impose a temporary one-way restriction over an area of the highway

being The Furry Helston between the junction for Monument Road and the junction for Meneage Street in a West to East direction.

"The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out works to resurface the carriageway.

"The Order will come into operation on 30th November and the works are expected to be completed by the 11th December. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1600 on a daily basis weekdays only.

"Nothing in this order will apply to anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. An alternative route will be signed on-site."
