Helston Railway has announced a delay to their grand reopening of train rides after the changes in lockdown restrictions easing.
Lockdown restrictions were supposed to be lifted on the 21st June but it was then changed to Monday, 19th July.
Due to the change of date, the railway said in a statement they need some more time to finish last-minute construction work and volunteer
assessment procedures. The railway will still be welcoming visitors to the new 'Cornish Carriages' buffet and restaurant cars which will open this week at 09:30 on Wednesday and Sunday. The revamped Railway Shop will also be staffed on those days. There will be no train rides until Wednesday 28th July.
